Musnad Ahmad 1099:13

Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, that he was informed that a man during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, passed by some people, and he did not mention Abu al-Tufayl. Abdullah said: It reached me that Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated this hadith from his memory and said: "From Abu al-Tufayl." His son Ya'qub narrated it from his father, and he did not mention Abu al-Tufayl. So I think he made a mistake, and the correct version is the narration of Ya'qub, and Allah knows best.
