Musnad Ahmad 1060:28

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Simak ibn Harb, from Jabir ibn Samurah, from Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, who said: When food was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he would eat from it and send the remainder to me. One day, he sent me a bowl from which he had not eaten anything, and it contained garlic. I asked him, "Is it forbidden?" He said, "No, but I dislike it because of its odor." I said, "Then I dislike what you dislike."
