Musnad Ahmad 1060:67

Abu Ahmad narrated to us, Hanash narrated to us, from Riyah ibn al-Harith, who said: I saw a group of the Ansar who came to Ali at the Rahbah. He said: "Who are the people?" They said: "Your loyal followers (mawalika), O Commander of the Faithful." He then mentioned its meaning.
