Musnad Ahmad 1060:73

Yunus narrated to us, Laith narrated to us, from Yazid, from Abu al-Khayr, from Abu Ruhm al-Sama'i, that Abu Ayyub narrated to him: The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stayed in the lower part of our house, and I was in the upper room. Water was spilled in the upper room, so I and Umm Ayyub stood up with a velvet cloth of ours, following the water out of fear that the water might reach the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I went down to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while I was anxious, and I said: "O Messenger of Allah, it is not appropriate for us to be above you; move to the upper room." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered his belongings to be moved, and they were moved, and his belongings were few. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, you used to send food to me, and I would look, and when I saw the marks of your fingers, I would place my hand where they were. But when this food that you sent to me arrived, I looked at it and did not see the marks of your fingers in it." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Yes, it contains onions, so I disliked eating it because of the angel who comes to me. As for you, eat it."
