Hadith 1314:0

### From the Hadith of Abu Bakr ibn Abi Zuhayr al-Thaqafi I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "The people will continue to be in a state of goodness as long as they do not envy one another." He said: "And I heard him say: 'There is no man who commits a sin, then performs ablution, then stands and prays, then asks Allah for forgiveness, except that Allah will forgive him.'" Then he recited this verse: "And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [with evil], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins—and who can forgive sins except Allah?—and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know."
