Musnad Ahmad 830:133

Abu Bakrah said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Whoever kills a person under a covenant (mu'ahad) without its right, he shall not find the fragrance of Paradise, and indeed its fragrance is found from a distance of five hundred years."
