Musnad Ahmad 830:140

Abdullah said: I found this hadith in my father’s book, in his own handwriting: Ubaydullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah informed us, Ali ibn Zayd informed us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakrah, from Abu Bakrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do you see, if Aslam and Ghifar were better than the two allies: Asad and Ghatafan, do you think they would be losers?" They said: "Yes." He said: "Do you see, if Muzaynah and Juhaynah were better than Banu Tamim and Amir ibn Sa'sa'ah—and Hammad raised his voice with it, imitating the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)—do you think they would be losers?" They said: "Yes." He said: "For they are better than them."
