Musnad Ahmad 830:18

'Abd al-A'la and Rabi' ibn Ibrahim narrated to us—the meaning being the same—they said: Yunus narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Abu Bakrah, who said: The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so he stood up dragging his garment in haste until he reached the mosque, and the people gathered. He prayed two rak'ahs, and it (the sun) cleared. Then he turned to us and said: "Indeed, the sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah, by which He frightens His servants, and they do not eclipse for the death of anyone." He said: And his son Ibrahim had died. "So if you see anything of that, then pray and supplicate until what is upon you is cleared."
