Musnad Ahmad 830:47

Asbat ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Ash'ath narrated to us, from Ibn Sirin, from Abu Bakrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delivered a sermon on the Day of Sacrifice while on his she-camel. He began to speak, sometimes here and sometimes there, to every group of people. Then he said: "What day is this?" He said: So we remained silent until we thought he would name it by a name other than its own. He said: "Is it not the Day of Sacrifice?" We said: Yes. Then he said: "What month is this?" He said: So we remained silent until we thought he would name it by a name other than its own. He said: Then he said: "Is it not Dhu al-Hijjah?" We said: Yes. Then he said: "What land is this?" He said: So we remained silent until we thought he would name it by a name other than its own. He said: Then he said: "Is it not the Sacred City?" We said: Yes. He said: "Indeed, your blood, your wealth, and your honor are sacred to you, until you meet your Lord, like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this land of yours." Then he said: "Let those of you who are present convey it to those who are absent, for perhaps the one who is absent may understand it better than the one who is present."
