Hadith of Abu Bakrah Nufay' bin al-Harith bin Kaladah (RA)

Hadith 830:62

'Abd al-Samad and 'Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib informed us, from Bilal ibn Baqtar, from Abu Bakrah, who said: Dinars were brought to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he began to take them handful by handful, then he would look to his right as if he were consulting someone: "To whom shall I give?" 'Affan said in his narration: "Consulting someone, then he would give." Then a black man with cropped hair, wearing two white garments, with the mark of prostration between his eyes, said: "You have not been just in the distribution." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, became angry and said: "Who will be just to you after me?" They said: "O Messenger of Allah, shall we not kill him?" He said: "No." Then he said to his companions: "This man and his companions will pass through the religion just as an arrow passes through the game; they will not hold onto anything of Islam."
