Yunus ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Hammad—meaning ibn Salamah—narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakrah, from his father, that a man said: "O Messenger of Allah, which of the people is best?" He said: "He whose life is long and whose deeds are good." He said: "Then which of the people is worst?" He said: "He whose life is long and whose deeds are evil."
