Musnad Ahmad 830:78

Abu al-Nadr Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, al-Hashraj ibn Nubatah al-Qaysi al-Kufi narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Jumhan narrated to me, Abdullah ibn Abi Bakrah narrated to us, my father narrated to me in this mosque—meaning the mosque of Basra—he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A group of my nation will certainly descend upon a land called al-Basirah. Their numbers will increase there, and their palm trees will increase there. Then the children of Qantura will come, broad of faces, small of eyes, until they descend upon a bridge of theirs called the Tigris. The Muslims will then divide into three groups: as for one group, they will take hold of the tails of camels and join the desert, and they will perish. As for one group, they will take charge of themselves and disbelieve; these and those are the same. As for one group, they will place their families behind their backs and fight. Their slain are martyrs, and Allah will grant victory to the remainder of them."
