He said: And I killed ‘Abd al-‘Uzza ibn Khatal while he was clinging to the curtains of the Ka‘bah. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said on the day of the conquest of Makkah: "The people are safe, except for ‘Abd al-‘Uzza ibn Khatal."
