Hadith 940:15
Yahya narrated to us, from Sufyan, Suhail ibn Abi Salih narrated to me, from Abdullah ibn Yazid, who said: I asked Sa’id ibn al-Musayyib about the hyena, and he disliked it. I said to him: "Your people eat it." He said: "They do not know." A man who was with him said: "I heard Abu al-Darda’ narrating from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: 'That he forbade every animal with a predatory claw, every animal that snatches, and every beast of prey with a canine tooth.'" Sa’id said: "He spoke the truth."
حدثنا يحيى، عن سفيان، حدثني سهيل بن أبي صالح، عن عبد الله بن يزيد، قال:، سألت سعيد بن المسيب عن الضبع، فكرهها، فقلت له: إن قومك يأكلونه قال: لا يعلمون، فقال رجل، عنده: سمعت أبا الدرداء، يحدث عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أنه نهى عن كل ذي نهبة، وكل ذي خطفة، وكل ذي ناب من السباع " قال سعيد: " صدق "
