Hadith 940:18
Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Malik—meaning Ibn Mughawwil—narrated to us, from al-Hakam, from Abu ‘Amr, from Abu al-Darda’, who said: A man stayed with Abu al-Darda’, and Abu al-Darda’ said: "Are you staying so that we may provide you with a place to sleep, or are you departing so that we may provide fodder for your mount?" The man said: "Rather, I am departing." Abu al-Darda’ said: "Then I shall provide you with a provision; if I found anything better than it, I would have provided it to you. I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the wealthy have taken away the world and the Hereafter. We pray as they pray, and we fast as they fast, but they give charity and we do not give charity.' He (ﷺ) said: 'Shall I not guide you to something that, if you do it, no one who was before you will surpass you, and no one who comes after you will catch up to you, except for one who does what you do? After every prayer, [say] thirty-three glorifications (tasbih), thirty-three praises (tahmid), and thirty-four exaltations (takbir).'"
حدثنا ابن نمير، حدثنا مالك يعني ابن مغول، عن الحكم، عن أبي عمر، عن أبي الدرداء، قال: نزل بأبي الدرداء رجل، فقال أبو الدرداء: مقيم فنسرح، أم ظاعن فنعلف؟ قال: بل ظاعن. قال: فإني سأزودك زادا لو أجد ما هو أفضل منه لزودتك، أتيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقلت: يا رسول الله، ذهب الأغنياء بالدنيا والآخرة، نصلي ويصلون، ونصوم ويصومون، ويتصدقون ولا نتصدق قال: " ألا أدلك على شيء إن أنت فعلته، لم يسبقك أحد كان قبلك، ولم يدركك أحد بعدك، إلا من فعل الذي تفعل: دبر كل صلاة ثلاثا وثلاثين تسبيحة، وثلاثا وثلاثين تحميدة، وأربعا وثلاثين تكبيرة " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
