Hadith 940:7
Abu ‘Amir narrated to us, Hisham—meaning Ibn Sa‘d—narrated to us, from ‘Uthman ibn Hayyan al-Dimashqi, Umm al-Darda’ informed me, from Abu al-Darda’, who said: "I have seen us with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on some of his journeys on a hot day, of intense heat, to the point that a man would place his hand upon his head from the intensity of the heat. And there was no one among the people fasting except the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and ‘Abdullah ibn Rawahah."
حدثنا أبو عامر، حدثنا هشام يعني ابن سعد، عن عثمان بن حيان الدمشقي، أخبرتني أم الدرداء، عن أبي الدرداء، قال: " لقد رأيتنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في بعض أسفاره في اليوم الحار الشديد الحر، حتى إن الرجل ليضع يده على رأسه من شدة الحر، وما في القوم صائم إلا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وعبد الله بن رواحة "
