Musnad Ahmad 937:122

Abdullah ibn al-Harith narrated to us, from Umar ibn Sa’id, from Bishr ibn ‘Asim, from ‘Asim, who said: Abdullah ibn al-Harith said: His father [narrated] from Abu Dharr, who said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, the people of wealth and riches have surpassed us by a clear surpassing; they pray and fast as we pray and fast, but they have wealth from which they give charity, while we have no wealth." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform you of a deed by which, if you take hold of it, you will catch up to those who were before you and surpass those who are after you, except for one who performs the like of your deed? You should glorify Allah (say *SubhanAllah*) after every prayer thirty-three times, praise Allah (say *Alhamdulillah*) thirty-three times, and magnify Allah (say *Allahu Akbar*) thirty-four times."
