Hadith of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (RA)
Hadith 937:127
'Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Abu Qilabah, from Abu Asma': That he entered upon Abu Dharr while he was at al-Rabadhah, and with him was a black wife of his, dark-skinned, upon whom there was no trace of saffron or perfume. He said: He said, "Do you not see what this black woman is ordering me to do? She orders me to go to Iraq, and if I were to go to Iraq, they would incline toward me with their worldly goods. My intimate friend (the Prophet), peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, entrusted me: 'That before the bridge of Hell is a path that is slippery and treacherous, and we will come upon it while our burdens are light.'" And Matar also narrated the complete hadith, saying in the statement of one of them: "That we come upon it while our burdens are light." And the other two said: "We come upon it while our burdens are lean; it is more likely that we will be saved than if we come upon it while we are heavily laden."
