Musnad Ahmad 937:136

Isma'il narrated to us, from al-Jurayri, from Abu al-'Ala' ibn al-Shikhkhir, from al-Ahnaf ibn Qays, who said: I arrived in Medina, and while I was in a circle containing a group of Quraysh, a man came—and he mentioned the hadith—so I followed him until he sat by a pillar. I said: "I did not see these people except that they disliked what you said to them." He said: "My close friend, Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), called me and said: 'O Abu Dharr.' I answered him, and he said: 'Do you see anyone?' I looked at what was above the sun, and I thought he was sending me on an errand, so I said: 'I see him.' He said: 'It would not please me to have the like of it in gold, to spend it all, except for three dinars.'"
