Musnad Ahmad 937:155

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, Abu al-Husayn informed me, from Ayyub bin Bashir bin Ka'b al-'Adawi, from a man from 'Anazah, that he said to Abu Dharr when he was sent away from Syria—and he mentioned the hadith—and he said in it: "Did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, shake hands with you when you met him?" He said: "I never met him once but that he shook my hand."
