Musnad Ahmad 937:187

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, Abu Husayn informed me, from Ayyub bin Bashir bin Ka'b al-'Adawi, from a man from 'Anazah, that he said to Abu Dharr when he was sent away from Syria: "I want to ask you about a hadith from the hadith of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." He said: "Then I will inform you of it, unless it is a secret." I said: "It is not a secret. Did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, shake hands with you when you met him?" He said: "I never met him but that he shook my hand. And he sent for me one day while I was not in the house. When I came, I was informed of his messenger, so I went to him while he was on a bed of his, and he embraced me, and it was better and better."
