Hadith of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (RA)
Hadith 937:26
'Affan narrated to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Sulayman al-A'mash, from Mujahid, from 'Ubayd ibn 'Umayr al-Laythi, from Abu Dharr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I have been given five things that no one before me was given: I have been sent to the red and the black, the earth has been made for me a means of purification and a place of prayer, the spoils of war have been made lawful for me and were not made lawful for anyone before me, I have been granted victory through fear, as the enemy is struck with fear while he is a month's journey away from me, and I was told: 'Ask, and you shall be given.' I have reserved my supplication as an intercession for my nation, and it shall reach—if Allah wills—those among you who did not associate anything with Allah."
