Musnad Ahmad 937:52

Isma'il narrated to us, al-Jariri narrated to us, from Abu al-'Ala' ibn al-Shikhkhir, from Ibn al-Ahmasi, who said: I met Abu Dharr and said to him: "It has reached me regarding you that you narrate a hadith from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." He said: "As for that, do not think that I would lie about the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, after I have heard it from him. So what is it that has reached you regarding me?" I said: "It has reached me that you say: 'Three whom Allah loves, and three whom Allah hates.'" He said: "I said it, and I heard it." I said: "So who are those whom Allah loves?" He said: "A man who meets the enemy in the ranks, so he offers his throat to them until he is killed or victory is opened for his companions; and a people who travel, and their journey becomes long until they desire to touch the ground, so they descend, and one of them steps aside and prays until he wakes them for their departure; and a man who has a neighbor who harms him with his neighborliness, so he bears his harm patiently until death or departure separates them." I said: "And who are those whom Allah hates?" He said: "The merchant who swears oaths—or he said: the seller who swears oaths—the miser who reminds others of his favors, and the arrogant poor man."
