Musnad Ahmad 937:67

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Mansur, who said: I heard Rib‘i ibn Hirash narrating from Zayd ibn Zabyan, who attributed it to Abu Dharr, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "Three [types of people] Allah loves, and three [types of people] Allah hates. As for the three whom Allah loves: A man who came to some people and asked them by Allah, and did not ask them by any kinship between them, so they refused him. Then a man lagged behind them and gave him [something] secretly, and no one knew of his giving except Allah and the one who gave it. And a people who traveled through their night until, when sleep was more beloved to them than anything else, they descended and laid down their heads, but one of them stood up, supplicating to Me and reciting My verses. And a man who was in a military expedition, and they met the enemy and were defeated, so he advanced with his chest until he was killed or Allah granted him victory. And the three whom Allah hates: The adulterous old man, the arrogant poor man, and the oppressive rich man."
