Hadith of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (RA)
Hadith 937:68
'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Rib'i ibn Hirash, from Abu Dharr, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "Indeed, Allah loves three and hates three. He hates the elderly adulterer, the arrogant poor person, and the wealthy miser. And He loves three: A man who was in a battalion, so he advanced to protect them until he was killed or Allah granted him victory; a man who was with a group of people, and they traveled through the night, then they stopped at the end of the night, and sleep was more beloved to them than anything else, so they slept, while he stood reciting My verses and supplicating to Me; and a man who was with a group of people, and a man came to them asking them by a kinship between them and him, but they were stingy toward him, so he followed behind them and gave him [what he asked for] where no one saw him except Allah and the one to whom he gave it."
