Musnad Ahmad 937:79

Ammar ibn Muhammad, the nephew of Sufyan al-Thawri, narrated to us, from Layth ibn Abi Sulaym, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Ghanam, from Abu Dharr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: 'O My servants, all of you are sinners except for those whom I have pardoned, so seek My forgiveness and I will forgive you. Whoever knows that I have the power to forgive and seeks My forgiveness by My power, I will forgive him and I do not care. All of you are astray except for those whom I have guided, so seek My guidance and I will guide you. All of you are poor except for those whom I have enriched, so ask Me and I will enrich you. If your first and your last, your living and your dead, your moist and your dry, were to gather upon the most wretched heart among the hearts of My servants, it would not decrease My kingdom by the wing of a mosquito. And if they were to gather upon the most pious heart of a servant among My servants, it would not increase My kingdom by the wing of a mosquito. If your first and your last, your living and your dead, your moist and your dry, were to gather, and every petitioner among them were to ask Me for what his desire reached, and I were to give every petitioner among them what he asked for, it would not decrease Me, just as if one of you were to pass by the seashore and dip a needle into it, then withdraw it; likewise, it does not decrease My kingdom. That is because I am Generous, Glorious, and Eternal. My giving is a word, and My punishment is a word. When I intend a thing, I only say to it: "Be," and it is.'"
