Musnad Ahmad 937:86

Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Yazid ibn 'Amr, from Yazid ibn Nu'aym, who said: I heard Abu Dharr al-Ghifari, while he was on the pulpit in al-Fustat, saying: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Whoever draws near to Allah by a span, He draws near to him by a cubit; and whoever draws near to Allah by a cubit, He draws near to him by an arm's span; and whoever comes to Allah walking, He comes to him running. And Allah is Higher and More Majestic, and Allah is Higher and More Majestic, and Allah is Higher and More Majestic."
