Musnad Ahmad 508:3

'Affan narrated to us, Aban narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, a sheikh from the Ansar who is called Abu Ibrahim narrated to us, from his father: That the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, when he prayed over the dead, would say: "O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, our present and our absent, our male and our female, and our young and our old." Yahya said: And Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated this hadith to me, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he added in it: "O Allah, whoever among us You keep alive, then keep him alive upon Islam, and whoever among us You cause to die, then cause him to die upon faith."
