Hadith of Abu Juhayfah (RA)

Hadith 669:2

'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Hakam, who said: I heard Abu Juhayfah say: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out during the midday heat, and he prayed Dhuhr at al-Batha' as two rak'ahs, and 'Asr as two rak'ahs, with a short spear (*'anazah*) in front of him. He performed ablution, and the people began taking from the remains of his ablution water." And in the hadith of 'Awn, a woman and a donkey pass behind him.
