Hadith 669:25
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, and Hajjaj narrated to me, Shu'bah informed me, from al-Hakam, who said: I heard Abu Juhayfah say: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went out during the midday heat to al-Batha'. He performed ablution and prayed the Dhuhr prayer as two rak'ahs and the 'Asr prayer as two rak'ahs, and in front of him was an 'anzah (a short spear)." 'Awn added in it, from his father Abu Juhayfah: "And a donkey and a woman would pass behind it." Hajjaj said in the hadith: "Then the people stood up and began taking his hand and wiping their faces with it." He said: "So I took his hand and placed it upon my face, and it was colder than snow and sweeter in scent than musk."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، وحجاج، أخبرني شعبة، عن الحكم، قال: سمعت أبا جحيفة قال: " خرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالهاجرة بالهاجرة بالهاجرة إلى البطحاء، فتوضأ وصلى الظهر ركعتين، والعصر ركعتين، وبين يديه عنزة "، وزاد فيه عون، عن أبيه أبي جحيفة، وكان يمر من ورائها الحمار والمرأة "، قال حجاج في الحديث: ثم قام الناس، فجعلوا يأخذون يده، فيمسحون بها وجوههم، قال: فأخذت يده فوضعتها على وجهي، فإذا هي أبرد من الثلج، وأطيب ريحا من المسك
