Musnad Ahmad 278:1

Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Ibn Shihab narrated to me, that al-Husayn ibn al-Sa’ib ibn Abi Lubabah informed him that Abu Lubabah ibn ‘Abd al-Mundhir, when Allah accepted his repentance, said: "O Messenger of Allah, part of my repentance to Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, is that I abandon the house of my people and dwell with you, and that I divest myself of my wealth as charity for Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, and His Messenger." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "One-third is sufficient for you."
