Hadith 1241:2
Khalaf ibn al-Walid narrated to us, he said: Hudhayl ibn Bilal narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Mahdhurah, from his father, or from his grandfather, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, assigned the Adhan to us and to our freedmen, the Siqayah (providing water to pilgrims) to Banu Hashim, and the Hijabah (custodianship of the Kaaba) to Banu Abd al-Dar."
حدثنا خلف بن الوليد، قال: حدثنا هذيل بن بلال، عن ابن أبي محذورة، عن أبيه، أو عن جده قال: " جعل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الأذان لنا ولموالينا، والسقاية لبني هاشم، والحجابة لبني عبد الدار "
