Musnad Ahmad 1013:3

Sufyan narrated to us, Abu Hazim narrated to us, he said: I heard Sahl ibn Sa’d saying: I was among the people when a woman entered and said: "O Messenger of Allah, she has gifted herself to you, so give your opinion regarding her." A man said: "Marry her to me." He did not answer him until she stood up a third time. He said to him: "Do you have anything?" He said: "No." He said: "Go and seek." He said: "I did not find anything." He said: "Go and seek, even if it is an iron ring." He said: "I did not find an iron ring." He said: "Do you have anything of the Quran with you?" He said: "Yes, such-and-such a Surah and such-and-such a Surah." He said: "I have married her to you for what you have of the Quran."
