Musnad Ahmad 1013:55

I read to Abd al-Rahman, [from] Malik, from Abu Hazim ibn Dinar, from Sahl ibn Sa’d, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, went to the Banu ‘Amr ibn ‘Awf to reconcile between them. He mentioned the hadith, [and] said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, signaled to him to stay in your place. So Abu Bakr raised his hands to the sky and praised Allah for what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, had commanded him to do regarding that. Then Abu Bakr stepped back until he was level with the row, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, stepped forward and prayed. He mentioned the like of the meaning of the hadith of Hammad ibn Salamah.
