Musnad Ahmad 1013:82

Hassan ibn Musa narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah informed us, Jamil al-Aslami narrated to us, from Sahl ibn Sa'd, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Allah, may I not reach a time, or may you not reach a time, in which the knowledgeable person is not followed, and in which the forbearing person is not felt shy of. Their hearts are the hearts of the non-Arabs, and their tongues are the tongues of the Arabs."
