Hadith 457:37

Yahya narrated to us, from Shu'bah, who said: Isma'il ibn Raja' narrated to me—and Isma'il means Ibn 'Ulayyah—who said: Shu'bah informed us, from Isma'il ibn Raja', from Aws ibn Dam'aj, from Abu Mas'ud, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "The people shall be led in prayer by the one among them who is most proficient in the Book of Allah and the earliest of them in recitation. If they are equal in recitation, then the earliest of them in migration. If they are equal in migration, then the oldest of them in age. And a man shall not be led in prayer in his place of authority." Isma'il said: "Nor in his household, and he shall not sit on his seat of honor." Isma'il said: "In his house, except with his permission, or he gives you permission."
