Hadith 457:8
Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, he said: al-Layth—meaning ibn Sa'd—narrated to us, he said: Ibn Shihab narrated to me, that Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith ibn Hisham informed him that he heard Abu Mas'ud 'Uqbah ibn 'Amr say: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade the price of a dog, the dowry of a prostitute, and the fee of a soothsayer."
حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم، قال: حدثنا الليث يعني ابن سعد، قال: حدثني ابن شهاب، أن أبا بكر بن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث بن هشام، أخبره أنه سمع أبا مسعود عقبة بن عمرو، قال: " نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن ثمن الكلب، ومهر البغي، وحلوان الكاهن "
