Abu al-Mughirah—who is al-Nadr ibn Isma'il, meaning the storyteller—narrated to us, Burayd narrated to us, from Abu Burdah, from Abu Musa, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the Day of Resurrection comes, there will not remain a single believer but that a Jew or a Christian will be brought to him, and he will be handed over to him. It will be said to him: 'This is your ransom from the Fire.'" Abu Burdah said: Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz made me swear by Allah, besides whom there is no god: Did you hear Abu Musa mention this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? I said: Yes. And Umar was pleased by that.
