Musnad Ahmad 788:163

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Qurrah narrated to us, Sayyar Abu al-Hakam narrated to us, from Abu Burdah, from his father, who said: I said to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "The people of Yemen have two drinks, or drinks: this *bit'*, which is made from honey, and *mizr*, which is made from corn and barley. So what do you command me regarding them?" He said: "I forbid you from every intoxicant."
