Musnad Ahmad 788:170

Hassan ibn Musa and Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Umarah, from Abu Burdah, from Abu Musa al-Ash’ari, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, will gather the nations on one level plain on the Day of Resurrection. When it appears to Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, to separate His creation, He will represent to every people that which they used to worship, and they will follow them until they cast them into the Fire. Then our Lord, the Almighty and Majestic, will come to us while we are in a high place and say: 'Who are you?' We will say: 'We are the Muslims.' He will say: 'What are you waiting for?' They will say: 'We are waiting for our Lord, the Almighty and Majestic.' He will say: 'And will you recognize Him if you see Him?' They will say: 'Yes.' He will say: 'How will you recognize Him when you have not seen Him?' They will say: 'Yes, there is no equal to Him.' Then He will manifest Himself to us laughing. He will say: 'Rejoice, O Muslims, for there is not one among you except that I have placed in his stead in the Fire a Jew or a Christian.'"
