حديث أبي موسى الأشعري
Hadith 788:21
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, al-Thawri informed us, from Qays ibn Muslim, from Tariq ibn Shihab, from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent me to the land of my people. When the Hajj approached, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed Hajj, and I performed Hajj. I arrived to him while he was staying at al-Abtah. He said to me: "With what did you enter into the state of Ihram, O Abdullah ibn Qays?" I said: "I said: 'Labbayk' (Here I am) for a Hajj like the Hajj of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)." He said: "You have done well." Then he said: "Did you bring a sacrificial animal (Hady)?" I said: "I did not." He said to me: "Go, perform Tawaf around the House and between al-Safa and al-Marwah, then exit the state of Ihram." So I went and did what he commanded me. I went to a woman from my people, and she washed my head with khatmi (hibiscus) and combed it. Then I entered into the state of Ihram for Hajj on the Day of Tarwiyah. I continued to issue fatwas to the people with what the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had commanded me until he passed away, then during the time of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), then during the time of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). While I was standing by the Black Stone or the Maqam (Station of Ibrahim) issuing fatwas to the people with what the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had commanded me, a man came to me and whispered to me, saying: "Do not be hasty in your fatwa, for the Commander of the Faithful has introduced something new regarding the rites." I said: "O people, whoever we have issued a fatwa to regarding the rites, let him wait, for the Commander of the Faithful is coming, so follow him." He said: Then Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived. I said: "O Commander of the Faithful, have you introduced something new regarding the rites?" He said: "Yes, we take by the Book of Allah (Mighty and Majestic is He), for it commands completion, and we take by the Sunnah of our Prophet (ﷺ), for he did not exit the state of Ihram until he slaughtered the sacrificial animal."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا الثوري، عن قيس بن مسلم، عن طارق بن شهاب، عن أبي موسى الأشعري قال: بعثني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى أرض قومي، فلما حضر الحج حج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وحججت، فقدمت عليه وهو نازل بالأبطح، فقال لي: " بم أهللت يا عبد الله بن قيس؟ " قال: قلت: لبيك بحج كحج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " أحسنت " ثم قال: " هل سقت هديا؟ " فقلت: ما فعلت، فقال لي: " اذهب فطف بالبيت وبين الصفا والمروة، ثم احلل ". فانطلقت ففعلت ما أمرني، وأتيت امرأة من قومي، فغسلت رأسي بالخطمي وفلته، ثم أهللت بالحج يوم التروية، فما زلت أفتي الناس بالذي أمرني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حتى توفي، ثم زمن أبي بكر رضي الله عنه، ثم زمن عمر رضي الله عنه، فبينا أنا قائم عند الحجر الأسود أو المقام أفتي الناس بالذي أمرني به رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذ أتاني رجل فسارني، فقال: لا تعجل بفتياك، فإن أمير المؤمنين قد أحدث في المناسك شيئا، فقلت: أيها الناس من كنا أفتيناه في المناسك شيئا، فليتئد، فإن أمير المؤمنين قادم فبه فائتموا، قال: فقدم عمر رضي الله عنه، فقلت: يا أمير المؤمنين، هل أحدثت في المناسك شيئا؟ قال: نعم، إن نأخذ بكتاب الله عز وجل، فإنه يأمر بالتمام، وإن نأخذ بسنة نبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم، فإنه لم يحلل حتى نحر الهدي "
