Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, Abu Mu'awiyah—meaning Shayban—narrated to us, from Layth, from Abu Burdah ibn Abi Musa, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led us in the Dhuhr prayer, then he turned his face toward us and said: "Stay in your places." He then faced the men and said: "Indeed, Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, commands me to command you: to fear Allah, and to speak a sound word." Then he stepped over the men and came to the women and said: "Indeed, Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, commands me to command you: to fear Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and to speak a sound word." Then he returned to the men and said: "When you enter the mosques of the Muslims and their marketplaces—or the marketplaces of the Muslims and their mosques—and you have with you anything of these arrows, then hold them by their blades, so that you do not strike anyone among the Muslims and harm them or wound them."
