Hadith of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (RA)

Hadith 788:24

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid, from his brother, from Abu Burdah, from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, who said: Two men from my people arrived with me. We came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and they spoke and addressed him, and they began to hint at wanting a position of authority. The face of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, changed, or it was seen in his face. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Indeed, the most treacherous of you in my sight is the one who seeks it. So, upon you is the fear of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic." He said: So he did not seek their help for anything.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
