Musnad Ahmad 788:79

'Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, a man from the Ansar narrated to us, that Abu Bakr ibn 'Abdullah ibn Qays narrated to him, that his father narrated to him, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to visit the Ansar frequently, both the elite and the commoners. When he visited the elite, he would come to the man in his home. When he visited the commoners, he would come to the mosque.
