Musnad Ahmad 788:98

Yahya ibn Sa'id and Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, they said: 'Awf narrated to us, he said: Qasamah ibn Zuhayr narrated to me, [and] Ibn Ja'far [narrated] from Qasamah ibn Zuhayr, from Abu Musa, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, created Adam from a handful He took from the entire earth. So the children of Adam came according to the [nature of the] earth. Among them came the white, the red, the black, and what is between that; and the wicked, the good, the easy-going, the harsh, and what is between that."
