Musnad Ahmad 468:1

Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Layth ibn Sa'd informed us, he said: 'Uqayl narrated to me, from Ibn Shihab, from Ibn Abi Namlah, that Abu Namlah al-Ansari informed him that while he was sitting with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a man from the Jews came to him and said: "O Muhammad, does this funeral speak?" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Allah knows best." The Jew said: "I bear witness that it does speak." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "If the People of the Book narrate to you, do not believe them and do not disbelieve them, but say: 'We believe in Allah, His Books, and His Messengers.' For if it is true, you will not have disbelieved them, and if it is false, you will not have believed them."
