Musnad Ahmad 1007:113

Rawh narrated to us, Husayn al-Mu‘allim narrated to us, Yahya—meaning Ibn Abi Kathir—narrated to us, from Abu Salamah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Qatadah, that the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Do not make nabidh (a fermented drink) by mixing fresh dates (rutab), unripe dates (zahw), dried dates (tamr), and raisins (zabib) all together; rather, make nabidh from each one of them separately." Yahya said: I asked ‘Abd Allah ibn Abi Qatadah about that, and he informed me of it from his father.
