Musnad Ahmad 1007:39

Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from his father, Abdullah ibn Abi Qatadah narrated to me, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), when he was invited to a funeral, would ask about it. If it was praised with good, he would stand and pray over it. And if it was praised with other than that, he would say to its family: "Your affair is with it," and he would not pray over it.
