Hadith of Abu Qatadah Al-Ansari (RA)

Hadith 1007:88

Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, Ma'bad ibn Ka'b ibn Malik narrated to me, from Abu Qatadah al-Harith ibn Rib'i, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent us toward the seashore during one of his 'Umrahs to Makkah, and he promised to meet us at Qadid. We set out, and among us were those who were in a state of ihram (muhrim) and those who were not (halal). He said: I was not in a state of ihram (halal). He mentioned the hadith, and in it, he said: "This upper arm, I have roasted it, cooked it thoroughly, and made it good." He said: "Bring it to me." He said: So I brought it to him, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) tore pieces from it with his teeth while he was in a state of ihram, until he finished it.
