Hadith 1111:11
Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, al-Abbas ibn Abi Khidash informed me, from al-Fadl ibn Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Rafi, from Abu Rafi, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "O Abu Rafi, kill every dog in Medina." He said: So I found some women of the Ansar at the two walls of al-Baqi who had a dog. They said: "O Abu Rafi, the Messenger of Allah has sent our men on a military expedition, and this dog protects us after Allah. By Allah, no one can come to us until one of us women stands up and gets between him and it. So mention this to the Prophet." Abu Rafi mentioned it to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he said: "O Abu Rafi, kill it, for it is only Allah who protects them."
حدثنا روح، حدثنا ابن جريج، أخبرني العباس بن أبي خداش ، عن الفضل بن عبيد الله بن أبي رافع، عن أبي رافع، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " يا أبا رافع، اقتل كل كلب بالمدينة " قال: فوجدت نسوة من الأنصار بالصورين من البقيع لهن كلب، فقلن: يا أبا رافع، إن رسول الله قد أغزى رجالنا، وإن هذا الكلب يمنعنا بعد الله، والله ما يستطيع أحد أن يأتينا حتى تقوم امرأة منا فتحول بينه وبينه، فاذكره للنبي فذكره أبو رافع للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: " يا أبا رافع اقتله فإنما يمنعهن الله "
